Education and Experience:

Lifting Engineer shall hold bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or its equivalent and have minimum 5 years of proven experience of planning complex Lifting activities in Oil & Gas industry. Knowledge of all lifting equipments and various crane types / Side Boom. Working Experience in Major Project and Shutdowns. Member in LEEA or similar / equivalent Strong understanding of rigging principles Expertise in developing Auto Cad Lifting plans for Critical and Non Routine Lifts.

Roles and responsibilities

Preparation of Lifting plans as per the site verification using AUTOCAD, and submitting lifting plans pack with all relevant documents for the client approval per the Company Lifting Procedure . Promote Safe Handling and Lifting Operation referring Company HSE policy and international standard. Verify the lifting equipment requirements through review of scope of work Maintain systematic and methodological approach to Lifting Operations . Responsible for doing the site survey as per the work packs to verify the lift classification and crane assessment to plan all the critical lifts including production of lifting studies, drawing, calculation, Risk assessment and method statements. Ensure lifting equipment used in the execution of all lifting activities have the required capacity for the safe execution of the lifting operation. Participates in the Coaching, Mentoring and Training of Rigging Supervisor ,Rigging Foreman, and Riggers. To be involved in plans internal audits of the lifting operations, participates in lifting operations incident investigation and analyses Lead the lifting teams at Site, towards safe work practice and ensure lifting operations are held safely, considering all hazards and corresponding controls. Ensure any lifting equipment and lifting appliance used by his team is having a valid third party certificate and ensure that all lifting appliances are color coded as per current colour coding system. Ensure that all lifting is carried out safely and competently as per approved Lifting plan.
