Our Client is one of the established and reputed operations in transportation services and a contractor for heavy equipment clearing services in the automotive market based in the UAE and they are currently looking for a Lifting Engineer for Crane based in Abudhabi

Responsibility:

• Conducting site survey, risk assessment & and preparing lifting plans & and calculations for the erection activities for the projects & and the site\xe2\x80\x99s routine & and non-routine lifting activities in cooperation with LIMS standards and procedures.

• Responsible for lifting equipment selection, procurement, and ensuring all lifting equipment meets the required standards.

• Produce Lifting and Rigging Method statements, Plot plans, Rigging studies, Heavy lifts, and Critical Lift Packs.

• Ensure all documentation required for lifting and rigging has been processed and correct for the lifting and rigging to proceed.

• Able to identify and manage potential hazards and risks in the lifting area.

• Ensures that the lifting equipment is maintained, examined and appropriate for use.

• Checks that load integrity and stability are satisfactory.

• Ability to calculate permissible ground bearing pressure and adequate crane mat size.

• Ensures that people involved are competent for performing their task, aware of the task and procedures to be followed, and aware of their responsibilities.

• Providing onsite planning and coordination of all heavy lifts and transport during projects and shut down operations.

• Responsible for reviews and approvals of all sub-contract lifting and rigging plans including verifications of rigging certifications, ground bearing calculations, crane lifting capabilities and clearances.

• Completing feasibility studies, checking crane capacities, locations, and elevations for clashes and transport route clearances and traffic management plan

• Inspection of lifting appliance such as webbing slings, chain slings, wire ropes, shackles, hooks, chain block etc.

• Conducting Non-destructive test MPI & ECT for the lifting equipment\xe2\x80\x99s.

• Assisting Senior Engineers in Managing Contracts, Execution of Piping Schemes, Lifting of Heavy Equipment\xe2\x80\x99s, Commissioning of New Equipment\xe2\x80\x99s, Planning of Turnaround Maintenance, Taking Details of Heat Exchangers, Heaters, Reactors, Cooling Towers, Vessels, Columns, Storage Tanks, etc for their Procurement and Turn around Maintenance.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, should have the following:

• 6 to 7 years of overall experience (At least 1 to 3 years in the UAE)

• Should be well versed with Heavy equipment such as Crane, Forklift, Man lift

• Should be able to communicate in English
