Job SummaryWe are seeking a competent and experienced Lifting Engineer with strong technical expertise in lifting operations and lifting plan development. The candidate must hold a valid LEEA APLO (Appointed Person - Lifting Operations) Certificate and have hands-on experience in preparing, reviewing, and submitting lifting plans for various types of cranes and lifting activities. The role requires close coordination with clients, engineers, site teams, and HSE personnel to ensure safe and compliant lifting operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review

lifting plans, lifting studies, method statements, and risk assessments

Perform all required

lifting calculations

, including crane capacity, load verification, radius and boom length checks, and Ground Bearing Pressure (GBP) calculations Determine accurate

load weights

, lifting points, leg tensions, sling utilization, and tackle loads Select appropriate

cranes, rigging arrangements, and lifting accessories

based on operational requirements Verify crane configurations, load charts, and utilization percentages prior to execution Supervise and monitor

critical, heavy, and complex lifting operations

on site Coordinate closely with project teams, crane operators, riggers, and safety personnel Ensure compliance with

UAE laws, project specifications, and international standards

(BS, ISO, LOLER, etc.) Conduct toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Review and verify

certifications and third-party inspection reports

for cranes and lifting accessories Assess soil and ground conditions for crane stability, including outrigger and matting requirements Investigate lifting-related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum

3-5 years of experience

as a Lifting Engineer in construction, mechanical, pipeline, or industrial projects Certified

Lifting Engineer / Appointed Person

(mandatory or highly preferred) Strong knowledge of UAE HSE requirements and international lifting standards Proficient in AutoCAD and lifting calculation methods Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
