The position
As a Legal, Ethics and Compliance Manager, you will be the subject matter expert and sparring partner to affiliate and Business Unit (BU) management, ensuring holistic (multi-disciplinary) Obesity initiative and issue ownership. You will directly report to the Legal, Ethics, Compliance and Quality Director of the UAE affiliate.
Main accountabilities:
Proactively drive processes and initiatives to secure compliance by design and strategic integration of ethics in decision-making for the Obesity Business Unit in the Affiliate
Drive agreed Internal Operations (IO) Obesity Legal, Ethics and Compliance priorities at the affiliate and Business Unit (BU) level, helping to create local ownership of key Obesity goals and accountability for their achievement
Proactively drive risk management processes and initiatives related to Obesity initiatives in the Affiliate, and implement adequate mitigating actions
Help drive an ethical mindset in the Affiliate by supporting in creating engagement and initiatives around ethics
Qualifications
As our Legal, Ethics and Compliance Manager, you need to have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a corporate Legal or Compliance position within a multinational organization, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or in a leading law firm.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
Bachelor\'s degree in Law; Postgraduate degree is preferable
Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
Strong business partnering mindset and approach
Experience in Compliance will be considered as a plus. Other relevant experience like FMCG can be considered
Demonstrated ability to build and manage rapport with stakeholders at various organizational levels and solve complex problems involving multiple parties
Experience navigating internal dynamics, such as working in a global matrix environment

The Legal, Ethics, Compliance and Quality Department provides support and legal assistance to all functions and Business Units, as well as overseeing the quality management system at the local level.
