Position Purpose
The role is responsible for assisting with all legal aspects of Software AG?s contractual affairs and providing legal support on all matters as required or as necessary in the Middle East as well as the wider EMEA (ex DACH) Region. The role will also serve as the key point of contact between Software AG and third parties to ensure timely review and approval of any variations, provide recommendations and negotiate directly with customer attorneys or procurement staff to craft final paperwork that is satisfactory to all parties, reflects agreed commercial parameters and is consistent with Software AG internal policies and procedures including revenue recognition rules.
Essential Job Functions
- Draft, evaluate, negotiate and execute contracts ? either against standard Software AG templates or against customer paperwork
- Establish and maintain relationships by serving as a single point of contact for contractual matters
- Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation
- Provide both internal and external contract-related issue resolution
- Monitor and complete contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate
- Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders, internally and externally
- Ability to work internationally across the wider EMEA (ex DACH) region
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree level and local legal qualification required
- Minimum of three years PQE including extensive experience in the IT sector
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Very strong contract modelling software skills and associated experience (e.g. Docusign)
- Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
- Passion for process improvement and high levels of engagement with IT tools and processes
- Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints and deadlines under pressure
