Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Legal Commercial and Technology in managing legal risk across FAB Group operations
• Provide legal advice on corporate acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, incorporations, business carve-outs, and related transactions
• Advise on corporate law matters related to FAB Group legal entities
• Handle a broad range of commercial and corporate legal matters across multiple jurisdictions
• Support special legal projects including material debt recovery matters
• Provide legal advice and support on HR-related legal issues
• Manage and coordinate external legal counsel engaged on transactions and projects
• Ensure all legal advice and activities comply with FAB Group legal policies and procedures
• Operate autonomously on routine matters while escalating complex or high-risk issues appropriately
• Assess and mitigate potential legal, financial, and reputational risks to the bank

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in law from an internationally recognised university
• Master's degree in law
• Qualified lawyer in the UK, USA, Australia, or another Commonwealth or Western European jurisdiction preferred
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a reputed bank or law firm
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar legal role
• Mandatory experience in corporate and commercial law
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions is preferred
• Exposure to HR-related legal matters is an advantage
• Excellent English language skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in Arabic is preferred
