Position Summary

The Sharjah Education Academy (SEA), a new and innovative faculty of education, seeks a full-time lecturer to support potential and current SEA postgraduate students in their academic, language, and social competencies.

The candidate will have experience in teaching academic skills and academic-level English language development. The ideal candidate will also have program management experience, including management of part-time faculty. The ideal candidate will also have experience with curriculum development, particularly for hybrid learning environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Teach Academic Foundations courses to potential and current SEA postgraduate students.

Oversee English Academic Foundations program, including curriculum development, instruction, instructional materials, and delivery of curriculum by part-time faculty.

Assume an active role in SEA\'s development by engaging in course and program development, with particular focus on online course material development, as all courses have extensive online content and instructional materials.

Design innovative assessments, mentor students (who are either pre-service or in-service educators), and engage in the expansion of SEA.

Oversee tutors who work with SEA postgraduate students.

Requirements

Earned master\'s degree in English, TESOL, education, linguistics, or a field of the social sciences.

Experience in teaching English or academic skills to university or postgraduate students.

Experience in developing curriculum, designing learning environments, and/or overseeing curriculum delivery.
