Launched in 2013, WebBeds is a global marketplace for the travel trade, providing powerful distribution solutions that make selling and buying travel products easier. It sources accommodation and destination services from travel suppliers, aggregates and merchandises that content in the WebBeds platform, then distributes it to its global network of travel trade buyers, who sell to the travelling public.

In this role you will:






The global Learning and Skills Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-wide learning strategies that build future-ready capabilities across regions. This role drives innovation in learning, ensures consistency in global standards, and fosters a culture of continuous development through strategic partnerships, data-driven insights, and learning technologies.



As Learning and Skills Manager, you will lead the implementation of our learning and skills strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and adapting to evolving business needs. You will work closely with senior leadership and department heads to align initiatives with business objective. You will oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of programmes to address skills gaps and training needs.



You will partner with Talent Management to design and deliver leadership development supporting the development WebBed's leaders and succession pipeline. You will be a key member of the change management team responsible for the deployment of our new LMS, Workday. You will ensure continuous improvement in learning initiatives and future skills building.



Additionally, you will manage learning and skills budget, external vendors and an internal learning community and ensure compliance with training requirements are met. A key part of your role will be promoting a culture of adaptability and continuous learning.

Key elements to this role include, but not limited to:




Lead the implementation of the learning and skills strategy aligned with organisational goals. Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development programmes. Partner with regional and functional leaders to tailor learning solutions to local needs Collaborate with HR, Talent, and Centers of Excellence to embed learning into broader talent strategies Consult with subject matter experts to ensure relevance and quality of content Encourage adoption of innovative learning solutions like virtual reality or gamification. Engage and support a global network of internal trainers and learning professionals Promote a culture of continuous learning through enterprise-wide initiatives Champion agile ways of working and continuous improvement in learning operations Own and manage relationships with learning content providers, including Udemy, ensuring the workforce has access to high-quality training and development resources. Oversee the design, implementation and evaluation of learning and development programmes. Manage leadership development programmes in alignment with the leadership competency framework Oversee deployment, management and optimisation of Learning Management System (LMS) and other technologies. Implement evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness of training and development programmes. Use feedback and data to drive continuous improvement of learning initiatives. Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements and industry standards. Foster an inclusive learning environment that values diverse perspectives Cultivate a culture of adaptability and continuous learning. Ensure programmes address identified skills gaps and training needs. Manage budget for learning & skills initiatives. Establish and update core competencies and skills frameworks and collaborate with teams to integrate these into recruitment and development processes. Ensure competency and skills frameworks adapt to changes in the organisation and industry Equip leaders and teams with skills and tools for navigating changes in the organisation and industry. Monitor industry trends and provide insights to ensure competency and skill frameworks remain relevant and updated. Develop and implement change management strategies to manage organisational change effectively, providing guidance and resources to employees during transitions. Prepare reports on learning and skills activities, outcomes, and ROI for senior leadership. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation within the department. Identify when to develop internally versus sourcing external providers. Source and manage third-party providers where required, ensuring a balance of quality, innovation, and ROI. Promote a culture of continuous learning through enterprise-wide initiatives Champion agile ways of working and continuous improvement in learning operations

Qualifications & Experience




Proven experience in global learning and development roles, ideally within complex, multinational organisations Strong expertise in LMS deployment, learning content design, and digital learning platforms Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills Data-driven mindset with experience in learning analytics and impact reporting Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern learning frameworks

Minimum 5-7 years of experience within learning and skills development. 3+ years of people management experience Strong expertise in designing and delivering learning strategies and initiatives, including experience with both traditional and digital training methodologies. A deep understanding of leadership development, with the ability to design and execute programs that cultivate future leaders. Experience partnering with external content providers and managing learning platforms to deliver impactful and scalable training solutions. Highly analytical, with the ability to use data and feedback to measure program success and inform decision-making. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a talent for inspiring and aligning stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of global learning trends and the ability to adapt strategies to meet the needs of a diverse, international workforce. Creative problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and delivering engaging learning experiences. Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely across Talent & Culture, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams. A passion for fostering a culture of learning, coaching, and personal development within an organization.
