We are looking for a Learning and Talent Development Manager to join our Human Resources team.
Purpose and Objective
To achieve overall DFS business objectives by effectively:
Strengthening the DFS learning culture through the development, implementation, delivery and support of approved development related activities, including strategy-driven programs and leadership programs, such as DFS Selling Culture, Luxury Training and Advance Coaching.
Planning and overseeing the training curriculum to ensure alignment to DFS’s vision, mission, core values as well as meeting key business goals.
Overseeing and delivering other talent-related activities, such as recognition programs, career counselling, performance management, talent scorecard and talent resources.
Business Partnership
Establish strong partnership with external/internal customers to remain aligned with business objectives relating to talent development
Involve in the communication, alignment and implementation of talent related initiatives, both corporate and division, that are in support of DFS business goals and strategic objectives
Development, Delivery and Support
Manage and effectively deliver Company and Group training programs in support of strategic objectives. This includes Selling Culture, coaching and any other programs as directed by corporate and division
Develop and integrate effectively the training curriculum with business needs, identify development issues and opportunities in the Division and make recommendations for inclusion and improvements
Determine and oversee training and development budget/expenditures to ensure that the desired organization performance is achieved efficiently
Responsible for an effective induction program to support retention of new talent and ensure their smooth transition to DFS culture
Implement and support division and global recognition programs, such as Star Club and Annual Platinum Awards
Analyse mystery shopping results, work with store relationship managers on action and implementation plans
Key contact person with corporate for divisional measurement of customer service such as global mystery shopping program, customer exit interviews and customer comments cards
Other projects and activities as directed by Corporate and Division
Management & Management Associates
Educate and support department managers to implement effective development plans for their team members
Design, deliver and evaluate performance management education for line management
Key contact person and schedule liaison for Management Associates
Implement and support other company-wide people initiatives, including LDP and management development initiatives
Administration
Monitor and evaluate results of all internal/external training programs, make recommendations for improvements, adjust delivery if necessary in order to remain current with operating processes, procedures and systems
Support corporate and division driven projects and best practices through networking with corporate, TD personnel of other divisions, external consultants/bodies as well as working closely with local key personnel
Review and evaluate current and new training vendors for continued suitability, initiate and maintain relationships with necessary vendors
Ensure talent scorecard and all reporting and tracking tools are maintained in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Key Requirements
Educational Requirements
At least a Diploma in Business, Human Resources Management or related subject
Work Experience
5 years’ experience in training and development, preferably with international exposure
