Learning & Development Manager Grade: GG11 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES To manage the design, development and delivery of L&D activities within BAE Systems Saudi Arabia (BAESSA) with the aim of ensuring that both L&D strategic and operational initiatives are achieved. To manage in the development of L&D systems, policies & procedures in accordance with business needs/priorities and to understand & interpret Business/HR Strategy to ensure L&D activities are aligned and to deliver the capability required. To manage the performance of the Learning & Development Professionals (LDP's) & the Learning & Development Operations Associate (LDOA) ensuring that the staff performance system is understood and complied with and appropriate action is taken for non-compliance. To ensure that the development needs of BAESSA employees (CMS/Non-CMS) are captured through PIPs and ePDRs, collated and archived in an agreed process/format with BAESSA L&D and developing annual training plans. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Managing the development needs of BAESSA employees (CMS/Non-CMS) through the collation of PIPs and ePDRs, identifying relevant training solutions and developing the annual training plan to meet the learning & development requirements. Responsible for the planning, customer approval and coordination of CMS/Non-CMS training plans for the year ahead. Responsible for the recruitment, selection, induction and performance management of staff and the overall management of the L&D Team. Leading the coordination and integration of the activities undertaken by the LDPs across BAESSA in line with the manpower contract between BAESSA and BAESSDT. Responsible for ensuring that all training delivered through the LDPs follows the philosophy of 'applied learning' where delegates are encouraged to identify real work examples where they can apply the learning received on return to their work environment. Continually review and develop training strategy and training interventions to ensure effectiveness, cost efficiency and support of Saudisation. Leading the design, development and evaluation of behavioural/soft skills training course materials and ensuring they align with business requirements. Responsible for the development, design and implementation of a 'fit for purpose' accredited Management Development Programme and also a Supervisory Development Programme and to ensure it aligns with the business objectives and business needs. Responsible for project managing the Mustakbal Programme, including coordinating and organising the UK visit. Liaising with UK employees at various UK locations. Responsible as the Centre Manager for L&D Licenses, currently CIPD and City & Guilds accredited training programmes, including responsible for Assessors and Internal Verifiers. Liaising with the Awarding Body External Verifiers and ensuring all quality processes are implemented as per the Awarding Body requirements and all licenses are maintained.
