Learning & Developement Manager

Scope and general purpose of position:

Our Colleagues are turning moments into memories for our guests at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts with the help of strong training programs. Your operational support and leadership as Learning & Development Manager will ensure continued learning, guest satisfaction and Colleague engagement throughout your hotel.

Responsabilities :

Reporting to the Director of Talent & Culture responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Facilitate all Company training programs and ensure standards are followed Provide on-going coaching and guidance for departmental Trainers or department Leaders to ensure consistency of quality training Ensure all training material is up to date Coordinate all training seminars Act as an internal performance consultant, involved in facilitating departmental meetings, focus groups and team-building activities as required Partner with external organizations who provide support for the hotel's learning strategy Ensure all team member training, documentation and testing is completed in the required time frame Create and develop training materials and programs to meet the needs of the hotel Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs To administer and maintain documentation and records for all training related activities. To participate & lead in the employee committee. Analyze the hotel manpower and make recommendations on selection and development activities to meet manpower need Develops and implements recruiting and screening systems and procedures to attract qualified candidates for vacancies Assists Leaders in recruiting activities Together with Leaders identify employees for development, makes recommendations and monitors progress To comply with Hotel and Departmental policies and procedures at all times. Follow all safety policies To carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel.

Competencies Previous leadership experience in a related field required Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required University/College degree in a related discipline preferred Previous Hotel experience preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work cohesively as part of a team Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and and courteous at all times
