Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Leader, Chemicals Business. Who will be accountable for the profit and loss results of the Chemicals Business in defined countries. Develops and executes the business strategies for multiple Chemicals main products. Leads a multidisciplinary stakeholder team and steers the business in order to realize or exceed our client Chemicals global and regional vision.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and preferably master from an accredited University in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Engineering
  • 12 years experience in the petrochemicals business including plant/marketing and sales
    • Management experience with operating margin responsibility

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing Chemicals Business global vision and strategy throughout products value chain into a cohesive global business and strategic plan detailing sales & profitability targets, product portfolio \xe2\x80\x93 current and future, T&I requirements, distribution channels and routes to market, marketing activity plan and sales targets, growth and expansions opportunities and plan
  • Proactively monitors appropriate quantitative and qualitative business intelligence & market developments report through internal analysis and external consultants to be adopted in 1+4 business and budget plan
  • Monitor and at upon relevant business information on feedstock and end products with a focus on key trends, including supply & demand, market developments, competitive landscape, customer dynamics, demographics and outlook scenarios
  • Responsible to maximize the overall P&L contribution to the business on medium and long term by steering the multidisciplinary business process of Marketing/Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technology and Innovation and P&PI, continuously triggering and proposing performance improvement
  • Responsible for approving global business plan for each Product and individual objectives for global and Regional Sales / Key Account Managers to meet set KPI\xe2\x80\x99s for each product
    • Continuously drive multi Products global business team towards identification of new business opportunities (growth, country, applications, products and target customers).
  • Lead the direct and functional report to have customer intimacy and increase satisfaction score through monitoring and applying customer strategy, process improvement & mitigation plan in light of relevant market and customer satisfaction tools
  • Explore business opportunities with customer and other partners to develop the Chemicals businesses globally and drive asset growth in line with our client 2025/2030 targets
  • Active role in promoting Chemicals and advocacy activities and our client representative in industry platforms.
  • Review the KPI\xe2\x80\x99s of the business team against set strategy, milestones, targets and define tactics to improve performance
    • Identify and implement projects which are relevant for global product market/asset cluster
  • Run the high-level operational business of the product business, i.e.:
    o Maximize our client return of Product
    o Drive global business team to market product portfolio and development as required
    o Approve Sales allocation (price, volumes, cost of serving)
    o Lead and coach multi product Business Team
    o Work with supply chain, shared services and affiliates on minimizing raw material and Supply chain costs
    o Responsible for working capital management to achieve set targets
    o Drive business team to implement business risk policy including credit risk and antidumping according to Authorization schedule
  • Continuous improvement process of the global business:
    o Management of cost versus margin and product bottom line
    o Drive improvement projects
    o Decision on quality / product complexity levels vs. cost
    • Create a succession plan for each Product global senior Business Manager, in co-operation with Global Business leader and HR, to identify potential candidates and individual development/training programs for successful future succession.
    • Drives and leads business and functional report initiatives for the business globally in alignment with other Corporate function, ensuring that business is optimally placed globally in assessing and reacting to economic environment and market forces
  • Ensures the effective achievement of functional objectives through the leadership of the Oxygenates BU function setting departmental and individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance
    • Be responsible for talent management and contribute to global talent management in cooperation with Corporate Human Resources and SBU management
    • Open up opportunities for staff rotation within functions to maximize the competency levels and for development purposes
    • Assume responsibility for optimum workload distribution among product executives and supervise activities
    • Review and develop direct reports if applicable and address development needs accordingly (e.g. through training, coaching, mentoring, etc.)

If your face-to-face interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, decide, and then receive a conditional job offer. If your face-to-face interview is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you. 2.3 There could be additional video interviews with hiring managers, which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field. 3. Conditional Offer A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment.
