Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE Perform testing, maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment as per the plan or otherwise necessary. Provide quality preventive maintenance activities for low and high voltage electrical system and equipment, for the smooth functioning of the given area of the Oman LNG plant. Address maintenance issues brought forward by electrical technicians in the team. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Apply the approved standards, procedures and schedules to ensure the reliability and integrity of the plant equipment and systems in the allocated area. lead the development of specific procedures, work instructions, repair plans, inspection and testing schedules and ensure compliance. Lead development of maintenance plan by providing details of work scope and required resources and comply with the established schedule. Implement the developed scheduled maintenance on relevant equipment and ensure all work history and data is entered into the CMMS system. Generate all testing protocols, certificates and other documentations in line with established standards and ensure that these are linked to the respective equipment within the CMMS. Responsible for providing qualitative construction work on electrical and instrumentation equipment, ensure correct equipment installation, testing and proper specification and selection, Maintain standard departmental shop floor discipline to ensure equipment functionality is available, ensure all instrument are calibrated to traceable international standard and compactable with the associate loop. Maintain relevant manual, records and reports for the equipment of the department. Mentor electrical technicians. Use organizational methodology and on-the-job trainings to help Oman nationals become competent technicians. Supervise that work is carried out in accordance with complex QHSE policy and procedures. Stay within annual operating budget for the area and provide feedback to the senior supervisor for any possible deviations. Contribute to site safety as an Authorised Engineer and participate in the duty engineering system for out of hours support. CHALLENGES Minimizing mean time to repair equipment and maximizing mean time between equipment failure Ensuring full utilization of the CMMS and planning tools.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: OND or equivalent in electrical engineering with minimum 6 years of experience in industry as technician. Experienced in supervision of technicians and contractors. A minimum of 1 to 2 years involvement in troubleshooting, analysis and resolving technical field problems independently. WORKING CONDITIONS: Plant based role with base location as Sur 5/2 work pattern

JOB SKILLS: Able to carry out troubleshooting, analysis and resolve technical field problems. Knowledge of using Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
