Summary We are recruiting indirect sourcing leader to join our team and cover all indirect sourcing activities in MEA. This includes contract negotiations, lifecycle management and cost evaluation. This role will require both strategic thought and tactical follow-through to succeed in a buying focused space, you will use your expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives and effect short-term and long-term business goals.



Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead the local sourcing procurement in MEA.

• Conduct due diligence and approve new vendors.

• Initiate sourcing buying processes and communicate the outcome to the local team.

• Manage local contracts, fulfilling purchasing commitments.

• Negotiate lowest possible cost while maintaining the highest quality of goods and services. Review/approve claims and emphasis to use GE approved vendors. Actively participate in supplier performance reviews evaluation.

• Use judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated

• Lead escalation related to PO execution, on time delivery and relationships with suppliers.

• Drive sourcing process compliance; provide input and deployment support of procedures and guidelines as necessary with zero defect

• Governance of Indirect Sourcing Activities & Policies to meet business targets and needs, including improving procurement processes.

• Enhance sourcing process and activities with different teams to identify the requesters need and minimize total cost.

• Partner with business regional stakeholders in setting realistic and challenging operational goals and contribute to their accomplishment

• Serve as subject matter expert for colleagues with no procurement experience.

• Lead projects, explains information; developing skills. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive details/issues.

• Align with logistics and customs to ensure adequate regional capacities to minimize transportation costs and meet localization requirements.

• Maintain sourcing KPIs

• Provide regional support for areas without dedicated resource

Qualifications / Requirements:

• This role requires advanced experience in the Sourcing & Supplier management. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/Engineering degree from an accredited university (with at least 5 years of experience in a Sourcing role)

• Negotiation skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; strong PC skills.

• Strong understanding of logistics requirements (incoterms, freight)

• Skilled in working collaboratively with remote personnel.

• Project management & process improvement skills.

• Strong Experience with Oracle ERP is preferred

• LEAN Mindset is preferred.

• Fluent English, Arabic or Turkish
