Responsibilities

As a team lead in Gadget, you are expected to play a leadership role in energizing, guiding, and motivating fellow software engineers. Team leads assign development tasks to our development team members and oversee the development process. Since we rely on offshore development alongside onsite team, it is essential for the team lead software engineer to play a leadership and coordination role between various development teams and align team members\xe2\x80\x99 efforts.

Besides writing code part of the time, team leads are responsible for the quality of the code developed as well as maintaining our internal development standards and conventions which we derive closely from common software development standards and conventions.

Team Leads are required to create detailed software development plans and assign tasks to team members. They are also responsible for providing implementation time estimates and scoping of the development target. This will be an ongoing effort between team leads and project managers to ensure that projects and milestones are delivered to the expectation of business needs both in terms of time and functionality.

Team leads also ensure the optimization of developed applications and their underlying systems. They are responsible for the performance and reliability of the applications.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience and practical knowledge of best practice in MVC and .net technologies.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Windows services.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in MS SQL Database modeling and design.
• Passionate about Agile development methods.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills are a must.
• Background on and ability to oversee development on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.
• Background on and ability to oversee our mobile projects (Android and IOS).
• Must have experience in developing external integration projects.
• Hands-on experience with web-API and WCF service.
