WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a part of BCG's GAMMA D team you will work closely with consulting teams on a diverse range of advanced topics. You will have the opportunity to leverage devops practices to deliver value to BCG's Consulting & GAMMA (case) teams, GAMMA Product teams and Practice Areas (domain) through providing devops subject matter expertise, and accelerated execution support. You will collaborate with teams to gather requirements, specify, design, develop, deliver robust devops capabilities serving client needs. You will provide technical support through deeper understanding of devops tools and processes which enable teams to build, test and deliver high quality, scalable and efficient solutions. Assignments will range from short term Proof of concepts/Minimum viable product to long term cases with enterprise grade software development as a critical enabler through the project level description of the role responsibilities and impact within the organization.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

DevOps Skills · Hands-on experience in CI-CD, deployment automation in Multi Cloud environment · Extensive hands-on experience with modern day cloud technologies (Containerization, Function as a Service) on the leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure) · Supporting application cloud infrastructure (hosted on AWS and Azure) · Hands-on experience in standardizing development environments and automating delivery processes to improve delivery predictability, efficiency, security, and maintainability · Providing hands-on troubleshooting, problem analysis and resolution · Continuously acquiring new technology skills (cloud, orchestration, security, network, operating system) with a strong focus on DevOps principles Business requirement gathering and collaboration · Owning all or part of engagement and integrating with consulting teams · Establish credibility by thought partnering with highly demanding stakeholders / consulting teams on devops topics; drawing conclusions on a range of external and internal issues and dependencies · Communicate insights through sophisticated synthesis and packaging of results (including PPT slides and charts) with stakeholders / consulting teams; collecting, synthesizing, learnings & inputs into new best practices and methodologies · Ensure proper sign off before uploading materials into internal repository for reference; sanitizing confidential client content in marketing documents · Able to build and sustain relationships with consulting MDPs to generate project work by self-leveraging regular connects · Guides juniors on advanced software concepts and platforms, and helps in quality checks · Contributes to team's content & IP development · Imparts technical trainings to team members and consulting cohort Problem solving · You should be strong in solutioning with hands-on experience in devops practices. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and codify knowledge and provide appropriate technical advice where required

Technical Skills: · Must have strong experience: o In Code Repository tools like GitHub o In CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Octopus deploy, Jenkin o Containerization (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes) o Infrastructure automation using Terraform o Scripting skills to build error free and secured automated deployments o Cloud infra-architecture design (AWS/ Azure) and deployment o Networking skills like setting VPC set up API gateway, Load balancer, SSL set up, Traffic routing · And workable knowledge of: o Azure DevOps - version control, automated build and release management o Cloud security experience, including access management, network monitoring and vulnerability management approaches o Application Performance Management (APM), Infrastructure Management using Enterprise Monitoring tools such as DataDog · And familiar with: o Disaster Recovery, High Availability and Business Continuity o Python, Node.js o Database - Postgres o Travis, Bamboo

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Job Requirement: · Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science engineering/technology or equivalent · Excellent communication skills Work Experience: · At least 3-4 years of configuration management, automation, CI-CD, infrastructure as code experience in a commercial setup specifically services or consulting organization · Additional weightage for contributions made to open source projects, blogs, forums etc. in relevant technologies
