Our rigorous discovery and inquiry-based approach helps to forge new and disruptive breakthroughs in advanced materials, autonomous robotics, cryptography, digital security, directed energy, quantum computing and secure systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scouting activities in Universities and companies to identify research areas/projects.
- Support colleagues in the ASPIRE organization to identify industry and government areas of activity, problem definitions and use cases within Water Production and Delivery, that lead to research and development projects
- Conduct Water Production and Delivery research and development based on industry and scientific challenges.
- Interact with TII Renewable and Sustainable Energy Research Center and other departments to create research and development projects within Water Production and Delivery thematic areas, that leads to patents and intellectual property.
- Deliver projects, either by management or hands on activity, ensuring they meet with project aims.
- Interact with other TII Renewable and Sustainable Energy Centers and departments to develop data analysis tools and computational modeling.
- Contribute to securing relevant Intellectual Property on the team\xe2\x80\x99s projects.
- Train and mentor junior post-doc and technicians to assist in the projects.
- Produce timely progress reports to management and industrial partners.
- Assist team members with constructive criticisms of manuscripts preparation, rehearsals of talks, etc.
- Contribute to team meetings by reporting ongoing works and giving feedback to colleagues on their progress reports.
- Maintain a technology watch on emerging Water Production and Delivery trends in their area of expertise and disseminate the relevant information to team members.
- Contribute to outreach activities directed to the public, during science fairs, students\xe2\x80\x99 visits, and for relevant public events.
- Generally, contribute to fostering a friendly, ambitious, impactful and productive team and working environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in conducting research in Water Production and/or Delivery systems
- A high-level of knowledge of processes for various Water Production and/or Delivery systems
- A high-level knowledge of the water sector
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as post-doctoral researcher/academic in a relevant field, with relevant high-impact publications.
- Prior responsibilities for training and mentoring students and technical staff.
- Demonstrable abilities for effective English written and oral communication.
Qualifications
- PhD in Water Production and/or Delivery systems.
- Bachelors and/or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a relevant field.
