Job Description

Due to anticipated growth throughout 2022, Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for a Lead Process Designer with experience in refining and offshore industry to be based in UAE

Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) only whilst exact opportunities are being fully determined

Below are some key responsibilities and duties:

+ Preparation and review of all types of process design drawings such as Block Flow Diagrams, PFDs, P&IDs, etc

+ Preparation and review of Process design deliverables such as Line list, tie - in list, valve list etc

+ Produce and review of process drawings as per Client standards using of AutoCAD, MicroStation, SPPID, AvevaP&ID etc.

+ Troubleshooting of SPPID, AvevaP&ID software issues and create symbols and graphic cells, as required

+ To assist in the coordination of all activities related to the discipline for P&IDs and linelist preparation

+ As Lead Designer, when assigned on projects, responsible for managing the team of designers, and delivering the engineering requirements of the project

+ As Lead Designer, guiding the team of senior designers and designers for resolving drafting issues and data extraction intelligent P&IDs softwares

+ Must be able to work to an agreed scope, budget and schedule

+ Compliance with industry, international and Client Codes and standards

+ Clear communicator with good interpersonal skills

+ Strong commitment to safety

+ Diploma in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)

+ Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry

+ Minimum 5+ years of experience in providing SPPID application support in the Oil and Gas Industry

+ Proficient with computer - aided design and drafting (AutoCAD, MicroStation, AVEVA P&ID, SPPID) software

+ Experience in Smart Plant / Aveva administration, set - up and development is an added advantage

+ Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software

+ Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills

+ Experience of working with multi - national and multi - cultural project teams is strongly preferred
