Job Roles & Responsibilities

The Network Lead is responsible for Leading Team, designing, implementing, and managing the organization's network infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role requires a strong technical foundation in networking combined with leadership and stakeholder management skills to align network strategies with business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical :

Proven expertise in Routing & Switching, Security Infrastructure

Network Design & Architecture: Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Routing & Switching: Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls across LAN/WAN environments.

Security & Compliance: Enforce network security best practices, including firewall configurations, VPN setup, and access controls.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance issues, minimizing downtime.

Wireless & Remote Access: Oversee Wi-Fi network performance and implement remote access solutions for secure connectivity.

Automation & Optimization: Implement network automation (Python, Ansible, or scripting) to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.

Vendor Management & Procurement: Work with vendors to evaluate, procure, and deploy network solutions that align with business needs.

Disaster Recovery & Redundancy: Develop and maintain network redundancy strategies, including backup solutions and failover mechanism.

Management and Leadership:

Team Leadership & Development: Guide and mentor network engineers, ensuring continuous skill development.

Project Management: Lead network-related projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.

Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with IT leadership, security teams, and business units to align network strategies with organizational goals.

Incident & Change Management: Collaborate with IT service management teams to ensure proper incident resolution and adherence to change management policies.

Compliance & Documentation: Ensure network compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Forcepoint Proxy network environments.

Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco), VPN, Proxy, IPS, F5 WAF and Cisco ACI Fabric, routers, switches (Catalyst/Nexus)

Configure and Manage F5 LTM/GTM and Citrix ADC load balancers for optimal application delivery and redundancy

Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPNs, VLANs.

Proficiency in network security tools and practices, including firewalls and IPS/IDS.

Familiarity with Cloud Networking (AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Networks, GCP Interconnect).

Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Riverbed etc.

Knowledge of network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform).

Understanding of ITSM frameworks such as ITIL.

Management Skills:

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Experience in leading and mentoring network teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Ability to handle high-pressure environments and manage multiple projects.

Education and Preferred Certifications:

Post Graduate / Graduate

Cisco Certifications CCNP/CCIE

Fortinet Certifications NSE4/NSE7

Cloud: AWS/Azure Networking Certification
