Job Summary: Have a minimum of five (5) years' experience related to the requirements and qualifications necessary to manage and perform the task. LME shall have knowledge of: principles of engineering, planning, project programming, and ability to interpret plans and drawings. It is required that the LME shall be a registered professional engineer in the discipline of mechanical engineering. It is required that LME be a USN.

Job Duties: Researches, develops, plans and designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems that may involve nanotechnology. Oversees and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Activities may involve but are not limited to electric generators, internal combustion engines and steam, gas turbines, power-using machines such as refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, machine tools, material handling systems, elevators and escalators, industrial production equipment and robots used in manufacturing etc.

Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements . Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors . Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job . Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines . Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner . Professional registration and membership in technical society (preferred) . Intermediate knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials . Practical field experience . Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs

Other Job Requirements Must be a registered PE

Security clearance (Secret or above)

Preferred Qualifications Six (6) years to nine (9) years related experience
