Role Summary: This role is part of our future Spares Planning & Forecasting Strategy - we currently have a big mix issues in our inventory. Too much of what we do not need and too little of what we do need, creating challenges to our capability to quickly turn around our tools. Due to the complexity of our repair processes and parts involved, we are developing a new strategy. This new strategy will formally identify a category of items that we will name Repairable and Reusable - this items consumption is difficult to predict as there are many technical and operational variables we need to account for in order to properly predict future needs. This items today are 85% of our stock outs globally and 80% of our excess (in $). This role will have product technical background and managing a restricted amount of parts and will define global planning strategies to ensure right investments and service to our business. Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities To Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements. Redefine processes and procedures on a regular basis and require frequent interaction with adjacent functions (e.g. engineering, planning, maintenance) Handles latitude in manufacturing techniques. Manufacturing process requires choosing right approaches. Employees should have technical know-how. Leads a small manufacturing unit with a budget > 1.5 million. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
