Play a key role in on time delivery to customers As a Lead Materials Planner you will be responsible for planning and scheduling of the materials required to execute the business. Work with operations and supply chain to translate the demand (forecasts, sales orders, planned orders) to physical orders and ensure they are delivered to meet the customer requirements. As a Lead Materials Planner - Drilling Services, you will be responsible for: · Works with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 mo) and global forecasts and with with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins) · Works with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders, and Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast. · Analyzes incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory and Plans and schedules order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs. · Performs various material management analysis such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged PO, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc., and Implements inventory stocking strategies · Monitoring levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory and works with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly. · Working with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process · Assists with product life cycle management for new and obsolete products to ensure they are incorporated into the S&OP process · Assists in driving product line make to stock (MTS), make to order (MTO), configure to order (CTO) and engineer to order (ETO) standards are implemented in the S&OP process Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: · Have a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience (5+ years' experience) · Have experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management · Have expert knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality · Have the ability to work with and influence stakeholders · Be a good team player, enjoy collaborating and solving problems with others · Have strategic thinking skills with tactical execution with a sense of urgency · Have APICS certification preferably Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
