Job Summary:

EGEC Qatar is hiring a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our on-site team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in electrical design, BIM implementation, and leadership within multidisciplinary project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the on-site electrical design process for major building and infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with international and Qatari standards across all phases of electrical system design. Review and validate all technical documentation and Revit models. Collaborate with cross-functional design teams (architectural, mechanical, structural). Supervise junior engineers and BIM/Revit technicians. Manage client meetings and represent EGEC in technical discussions. Implement and maintain BIM/Revit processes across projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's is a plus). Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role. Mandatory proficiency in Revit MEP and BIM tools. Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, and ETAP. Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus). Previous experience in Qatar is preferred. Familiarity with local authority requirements and UPDA certification is a plus.
