Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and, we are looking to hire a Lead Corrosion Engineer to be based at our Abu Dhabi Engineering Center. Below are more details about the role.
  • Leading AIS-related projects (Integrity Management, Vibration Dynamic and Noise and Operational Management Solutions.
  • Responsible to lead a team of up to 5 corrosion engineers and graduate engineers
  • The responsibility to mentor and coach the AIS Team.
  • Development of corrosion monitoring philosophies and strategies
  • Materials and corrosion studies (including coating selection) and specifications
  • Development of corrosion management strategies and corrosion manuals
  • Corrosion risk assessments
  • Performing corrosion-rate calculations, corrosion modelling and contribute to fitness for purpose studies
  • Design and integrity assessment of cathodic protection systems
  • Undertaking Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment studies
  • Assisting in the training and development of other team members
  • Liaising with clients to develop discrete work scopes and build professional working relationship
  • Responsible for the on-going Corrosion Management Programmed and RBI work - technical assurance
  • Responsible to mentor and coach the engineers and graduate\'s programmed
  • Will be shadowing the senior manager for the business in support of the growth, technical assurance delivery and key account management
  • Will be responsible for a set of key account management that will require customer interface and delivery of services in answer to the customer needs. This will represent all Asset Performance Optimization services (Vibration, Integrity management and Operational Management Solutions)
  • A training will be provided to get the candidate up to speed and assigned a TA from each discipline in support.
Requirement:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards that affect corrosion engineering and materials selection
  • Possess extensive knowledge of metallurgy, engineering materials, operating environment and material degradation mechanisms
  • Experience of managing, motivating and mentoring professional engineering specialists
  • Experience in managing and technically leading project work and managing client relations
  • Experience of writing and checking technical reports
  • Experience in the development of cost, time and resource estimates and the development of technical bids and proposals
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and experience with corrosion modelling software
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with others on technical issues
  • Correctly adhere to the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies
