About the role

Primary Purpose of Job:
The Enterprise Architect will facilitate development and management of different enterprise architecture artefacts to meet current and future business requirements. Examples are architecture artefacts within an enterprise architecture repository that include application, data, technology, governance, and methodology elements.
To manage scope and value of the orange architecture office deployed for our customer, ensuring the optimal value is achieved through the effective management and delivery of system level artefacts, progress, issues, risks, and opportunities. He/she will carry out duties under the guidance the Project Director and Steering Committee. To be able to identify gaps and shape a comprehensive, end-to-end digital blueprint and technology roadmap for multiple education projects. Able to bring to extensive knowledge of architectural patterns, technology components, vendor solutions and emerging technology trends on digital solution development in the data center domain. Expertise in architecting digital and multi-channel technology solutions, covering all layers of the technology stack, from presentation through to physical infrastructure. Oversees implementation of architecture system and advises adjustments to PMO. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
The role holder will ensure that all technical issues and risks are managed. Provide rapid and economical pre-evaluations and estimates for business ideas and change management. They must lead in approval, decision making and planning of the most appropriate technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
To carry out duties under the functional guidance the chief architect relating to the system definition; designing, developing, managing, and assess current digital technology maturity, identify gaps and shape solutions such as Student management systems, Learning management Systems and integrated education technology solutions.
The successful candidate will regularly build, review, publish and communicate enterprise and solution architecture products. You will research, analyze, and in consultation with identified stakeholders, to develop and implement appropriate policies, frameworks, practices and standards for architecture and related services.
They should be able to demonstrate expertise in digital and multi-channel technology solutions, covering all layers of the technology stack, from presentation through to physical infrastructure.

About you

Education: Bachelor’s degree / diploma in information technology, computer science, management information systems, master’s in computer science,
Experience: 15yrs+ experience in leading and architecting complex technical programs; key leadership role within Large Scale Integration and Education Digital Transformation projects.
Competencies:
The Lead Enterprise Architect will be the technical design authority for Orange’s architecture services for project delivery at Emirates School Establishment. They will need to demonstrate full system lifecycle ability to solve problems and meet business needs. Working with in-house and third-party teams, the role holder will serve as a central point of contact for technical architecture across the project.
Able to demonstrate detailed design skills specific to the education vertical complemented by an architecture level appreciation of all relevant complimentary technologies. The lead architect will ensure that customer solutions are delivered within budget to the quality standards required. The ability to propose and design specific solutions to individual sets of customer requirements, they will be required to develop new solutions in response to market trends and the demands of public education within the UAE.
Experience with enterprise system architectures; previous experience designing architecture for an organization on an enterprise level. Able to lead the definition of technology system and application architecture and provide vision for each phase of delivery. Demonstrates problem anticipation, and problem-solving ability. Able to participate in creating strategies and in the definition of process and policies.
Expert with enterprise architecture for K-12 education, it is expected that you will be a subject matter expert on ToGAF / or other enterprise architecture framework. An excellent understanding of IT Service policies, processes and compliance standards and design frameworks (BPML /ArchiMate / SysML) is essential.
Attributes: Excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare technical documentation. To be able to elicit system requirements and implement advanced analytical Skills to translate it into a useable blueprint. Excellent attention to detail, must be capable of logical thinking and possess advanced problem-solving skills. Demonstrate a strong understanding of system project management approaches and requirements, system development lifecycle, and design and test techniques. Experience of working with broad knowledge range of technologies and architectural approaches, methodologies, and frameworks with a pragmatic approach to their application and governance.

  • Highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to achieve a strong customer focus in the delivery of outputs.
  • Experience of working with and delivering presentations to stakeholders at all levels.
