About the role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Aeropolitical and Corporate Affairs team as a Lead Aeropolitical and Corporate Affairs Officer to be based in Doha, Qatar.


As a Lead Aeropolitical and Corporate Affairs Officer, you will be responsible for promoting and implementing Qatar Airways Aeropolitical advocacy strategy through the overall management of all processes of issuing publications and documents designed for targeted audiences regarding country-specific aviation-related and Aeropolitical, Government, Corporate and Environmental Affairs subjects in coordination with regional PR managers to promote same to local media.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

Coordinate with subject matter experts to create or submit material for the Aeropolitical and Corporate Affairs publications and documents, interview subject matter experts in order to gather insights and data that support content development, with attention to Aeropolitical, Government, Corporate and Environmental affairs and analytics-driven. Assist with data analysis using internal systems to ensure complete and accurate fuel and flight event data, including for wet lease operations under multiple regulatory and corporate ESG frameworks (e.g. ICAO CORSIA, EU ETS, UK-ETS, ReFuel EU, other). Assist on the design layout and coordinate review for internal publications and guidance materials in coordination with Marketing to ensure compliance with Corporate standards and branding. Coordinate publications or publishing with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to ensure a high standard of material and compliance to defined deadlines. Liaise with regional PR managers to confer on important Aeropolitical, Government, Corporate and Environment Affairs; produce fact sheets; talking points or other support material to help promote or respond to the story to their regional media; establish PR goals and deadlines so that all relevant information is captured and accurate. Produce coverage reports in concert with Corporate Communications and Aeropolitical Affairs and other departments as determined by internal stakeholders. Take ownership and accountability to the delivery of projects assigned by Aeropolitical and Corporate Affairs and consistently manage the quality of all material dispatched.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:


Relevant College or University qualifications with minimum 3 years of job-related experience. Experience in Environmental reporting, Aeropolitical, Government, Regulatory, and / or aviation. Experience in database management and administration. Proven track record of producing content for premium international brands. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with Government and International Organizations Liaison. Highly developed analytical, negotiations and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
