Job Description
The Laundry Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and related systems. The role ensures that all machines operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established standards to support smooth laundry operations in the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance on all laundry equipment and related systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in washers, dryers, press machines, and ironers. Install, align, and test laundry equipment and ensure proper functionality. Inspect and replace defective components such as motors, belts, valves, bearings, and pumps. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed. Monitor machine performance and take corrective action to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Coordinate with the housekeeping and engineering departments to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area and equipment.
Qualification & Experience:
Education:
ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.Experience:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial or commercial laundry equipment (hospital, hotel, or facility management background preferred).Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
