Kitchen & Laundry Technician

You perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, large inventory of commercial kitchen & laundry equipment and appliances and?maintain the property's facilities to ensure a safe and functional kitchen & laundry environment for the guests.

What you will be doing:

Responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of all kitchen & laundry equipments to ensure its operation and reliability. (Dry cleaning machine, Dryers, washers, Steam press machines, Air compressor & Air Ref. dryer)

Undertake kitchen repairs, servicing and refurbishment to all hotel equipments and to the required standard.

Undertake all Apartment appliances repair and service includes Washing machine, Dishwasher, Gas cookers, Refrigerators, Minibars, Safe Box, Microwave ovens, Iron Boxes, Water Kettles

Conduct daily inspections of all the Kitchen, Restaurant and Laundry equipment's

Conduct regular planned Preventive maintenance as scheduled for all Kitchen & laundry Equipment's

Responsible for HACCP compliance including maintaining Asset coding & following up with equipment calibrations

Ability to trouble shoot, identify the faults, obtaining spare manuals from online sources, spare part codes identifications for procurement

Lead Responsibility for any new equipment's installations to the required standards

Record details of work completed, purchase requisitions, stores requisitions and other workshop documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

Liaise with and assist providers of specialist kitchen support services, for example, contractors and suppliers.

Observe the provisions of the relevant policies and procedure (POMEC) for hotel.

Provide necessary periodical Operational trainings to the Kitchen team as well as within the department (TWI)

Ensure that Health, Safety & Environment policy and procedures and all relevant health, safety environmental legislation are observed.

Undertake all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the relevant work rules and standards.

Responds immediate to all work requests which concern Health and Safety.

Responds to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous manner.

Completes all work orders with due diligence.

Your experience and skills include:

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role in a 4/5 star hotel

Proven experience as a kitchen & laundry technician.

Strong knowledge of troubleshooting, electrical and plumbing work.

Strong knowledge of kitchen & laundry equipment maintenance including Hot & Cold sections.

Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry appliances, and the ability to follow safety protocols.

Familiarity with different brands and models of equipment is also valuable.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Good communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
