You will be responsible for carrying out laundry operations to the highest standards, ensuring all linen and garments are laundered, finished, and presented impeccably for staff and clients.

Laundry Attendant Responsibilities - Laundry Operations & Cleanliness

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items including linen, uniforms, and guest garments according to company procedures and care labels. Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure all laundry chemicals and detergents are used appropriately, following health and safety guidelines. Conduct visual inspections to identify stains, damages, or items in need of special treatment and report them promptly to management. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laundry room, equipment, and work areas at all times. Perform routine checks and minor maintenance of laundry equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor. Package, label, and distribute clean laundry as required, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations. Comply with all safety procedures, including the wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) where necessary. Assist colleagues and support seamless team operations during peak periods or as directed by the supervisor. Carry out additional duties as assigned by management to ensure high standards of service and hygiene.

Requirements for Laundry Attendant Jobs - Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Proven experience in a similar laundry attendant or cleaning role (preferred but not essential). Ability to follow instructions, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a busy environment. Understanding of different fabrics and laundry processes, or willingness to learn. Physically fit, able to stand for extended periods, and lift heavy laundry loads as required. Keen attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility. Good communication skills and a professional approach to work. * Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
