Job Title: Laundry Attendant
Job Summary
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing guests and staff with clean, fresh linen and garments. The role includes sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing textiles, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry including linen, towels, uniforms, and guest garments. Operate commercial laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect items for stains or damage and treat as needed before processing. Maintain clean and organized work areas, complying with health and safety regulations. Track inventory of laundry items and report any supply shortages or equipment malfunctions. Handle guest laundry requests promptly and professionally. Perform minor repairs such as sewing buttons or patching small tears as required. Assist with additional housekeeping duties when needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organizational and time management skills. Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
