Job Description

The Laundry attendant will operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts. Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load. Maintain accurate records of items laundered.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERINECE

1 - 2 years' experience as a laundry attendant Expertise in handling delicate fabrics, luxury clothing, and specialized garments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing, linens, and fabrics as per the family's requirements. Care for delicate fabrics and luxury items to the highest standards, ensuring no damage. Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure linens, towels, and other household fabrics are maintained in pristine condition. Keep inventory of laundry supplies and ensure they are always stocked. Maintain an organized laundry room and equipment, ensuring everything is in working order. Coordinate with external services for specialized cleaning when necessary. Adhere to household rules, regulations, and expectations. Ensure confidentiality and privacy regarding the household's personal matters. Expertise in handling delicate fabrics (silk, wool, velvet, cashmere) and luxury materials (if needed). Proficient in various laundry techniques (hand-washing, machine washing, steam pressing, ironing, etc). Strong attention to detail, ensuring proper sorting, cleaning, and storage. Excellent organizational skills for managing laundry tasks and inventory. Effective communication with the housekeeping and laundry teams. Skilled in using laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, steamers) safely. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining quality. Flexibility to work irregular hours and during special events. Professional demeanour and adherence to the household's standards of conduct Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods Ability to lift, push and pull heavy materials and objects Knowledge of stain treatment to utilize the best strategies to remove the stain on each individual article. Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
