Job Description

Laser Technician DOH Responsibilities:

1.

Laser Equipment Operation & Maintenance

Operate laser devices according to manufacturer and DOH safety protocols. Calibrate and inspect laser equipment regularly. Report malfunctioning or damaged equipment immediately. Maintain proper documentation/logs for laser usage and servicing.

Patient Safety & Preparation

Ensure informed consent is obtained before treatment. Assess patients' skin types and conditions to determine suitability for laser procedures. Cleanse and prepare treatment area on the patient. Provide protective eyewear to both patient and staff during procedures.
3.

Treatment Administration

Perform laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, pigmentation treatments, and other laser therapies as per qualifications. Follow treatment protocols strictly based on DOH standards. Monitor skin reactions during and after procedures. Apply post-treatment care and advise patients on aftercare.
4.

Hygiene & Infection Control

Follow sterilization protocols for laser handpieces and tools. Maintain a clean and sanitized treatment environment. Adhere to infection control guidelines and DOH health regulations.
5.

Record Keeping

Document patient assessments, treatments performed, and outcomes. Keep accurate records of laser sessions and any adverse events. Ensure confidentiality and privacy of all patient information.
6.

Compliance & Training

Stay updated with DOH regulations and ensure all procedures are compliant. Attend periodic training, workshops, and license renewals as required by the DOH. Ensure valid DOH license and laser technician certification are maintained.
