Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Pre-Contract Stage

Quantity Takeoff & BOQ Preparation

Measure quantities from landscape drawings (softscape, hardscape, irrigation, lighting). Prepare detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

Cost Estimating & Budgeting

Prepare initial cost estimates and detailed budgets. Provide value engineering options without compromising design intent.

Tendering

Prepare tender documents for landscape subcontractors and suppliers. Evaluate bids and assist in subcontractor selection.

2. Post-Contract Stage

Cost Control & Monitoring

Track project expenditures and ensure alignment with budgets. Flag any potential overruns and propose cost-saving measures.

Valuations & Payments

Prepare interim valuations for client and subcontractor payments. Certify progress payments based on site inspections.

Change Management

Evaluate variations or change orders. Negotiate with subcontractors and update the cost plan accordingly.

Final Accounts

Prepare and agree on final accounts with clients and subcontractors. Close all commercial aspects of the project post-completion.

3. Coordination & Documentation

Coordinate with landscape architects, project managers, and site teams. Procure materials, finalize sub-contractirs and supplier evaluations.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in

Civil Engineering

Quantity Surveying

A specialization or experience in

landscape works

is highly desirable.

Key Skills

Strong knowledge of landscaping elements: softscape, hardscape, irrigation, lighting Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Planswift, AutoCAD, Excel) Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

Experience:

2-5 years experience in Landscape

REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
UAE Experience is Mandatory
