to plan, design, and oversee the civil engineering aspects of landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in civil engineering with knowledge of landscaping requirements to ensure outdoor spaces are structurally sound, functional, and visually appealing. This role involves close collaboration with landscape architects, contractors, and site teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop site layout plans, grading plans, and storm water management designs.
Conduct site assessments including soil analysis, topographical surveys, and hydrological evaluations.
Design irrigation networks, water features, retaining walls, and soft/hard landscape elements.
Perform engineering calculations for slopes, earthworks, and load-bearing structures in landscape areas.
Collaborate with architects, landscape architects, MEP engineers, and contractors during all project phases.
Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements related to landscape works.
Monitor project progress, ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, and resolve on-site technical issues.
Oversee landscape installation, including softscape planting, hardscape construction, and irrigation works.
Verify that construction aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
Conduct site inspections, testing, commissioning, and final handover procedures.
Coordinate landscape designs with civil engineering requirements such as utilities, drainage, and road alignments.
Ensure designs comply with local regulations, environmental standards, and sustainability guidelines.
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, irrigation, and infrastructure design.
Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, STAAD, GIS, and hydraulic modeling tools.
Understanding of horticulture, soil science, irrigation technology, and landscape materials.
3-5 years in landscape engineering, infrastructure design, or landscape construction supervision (depending on role level).
Experience in large-scale landscape, urban development, public realm, or hospitality projects is preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer, or local engineering registration is an advantage.
Strong communication and coordination skills for dealing with consultants, contractors, and clients.
Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and technical challenges.
A Master's degree or specialization in Landscape or Environmental Engineering is an advantage.
Valid Engineer registration or professional license (SOE)
Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
