Job description

Job Overview
We are looking to hire talented, creative, dynamic, experienced, and knowledgeable Landscape Architect. This is a design-focused role. The ideal candidates will have a portfolio that demonstrates creative design flair. The role will involve 3D digital design development and some experience and a keen willingness to progress quickly in Rhino, and Sketchup is essential.

Primary Activities

• Work closely with senior designers to develop the design from concept to schematic, and detail design development for the allocated project(s)
• Prepare project design reports as needed through all stages of design.
• Develop the design and presentation materials by sketching and 3D modelling to U+A expected standards and in line with our clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements and satisfaction and prepare project design reports as needed through the design stages.
• Coordinate with the graphics artist on the production of CGI presentation materials for the allocated project(s)
• Have a good understanding to effectively develop the project details and plans and work closely with the BIM and CAD technical team for detailed design works and technical drawings
• Coordinate the design process, and documentation by interacting with other disciplines and external subconsultants, e.g., Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, Designers, Graphic Artists, Lighting Designers, Horticulturists, Signage & Wayfinding Designers, Water Feature specialists, etc.
• Attend project meetings and assist senior staff as required.

Profile

Position Requirements:

• University Degree \xe2\x80\x93 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x93 in landscape architecture or architecture
• CLA, CMLI or equivalent (a plus)
• ASLA, RIBA or similar membership (a plus)
• 5 years work experience on sizeable range of design projects
• High proficiency in spoken and written English

Technical Competencies

• Apply professional knowledge and experience to design landscape projects of varying levels of complexity
• Use professional knowledge combined with artistic and creative abilities to create functional, sustainable and manageable landscapes
• Develop technical communication including technical drawings and documentation, specifications, reports, proposals, contracts and tender documents
• A high proficiency in software skills including use of AutoCAD, 3D modelling, Lumion, Rhino, Photoshop and InDesign
• Experience in using BIM related technologies (such as REVIT) in Landscape Architecture is a significant advantage.
