Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing site surveying, setting out, level control, and ensuring dimensional accuracy for structural steel installations, anchor positions, foundations, and related civil works. Projects include infrastructure structures, elevated platforms, and architectural steel systems, requiring high precision and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform topographic, layout, and as-built surveys using total stations, GPS equipment, and digital levels.

- Execute accurate setting out for anchor bolts, base plates, structural steel components, and embedded items.

- Coordinate with project engineers, foremen, and steel installation teams to ensure correct implementation of design coordinates.

- Establish and maintain survey control points and reference benchmarks for long-term use throughout the project.

- Prepare and update as-built drawings, survey reports, level sheets, and coordinate data logs.

- Check drawings and coordinate discrepancies between design and actual field conditions; report deviations.

- Support the planning and sequencing of steel installation based on site readiness and verified benchmarks.

- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of surveying instruments.

- Assist in preparing volume calculations, quantity verification, and dimensional checks for QA/QC documentation.

- Work with subcontractors and other technical teams to support efficient progress on site.

Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related field.

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in land surveying for construction and steel structures.

- Proficiency in total stations, GNSS/GPS, auto-levels, and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Leica or Trimble software).

- Solid understanding of coordinate systems, site leveling, datums, and setting out methods.

- Experience in elevated worksites such as viaducts or infrastructure projects is an advantage.

- Ability to interpret construction drawings and provide clear survey references for steel and civil works.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with steel erection projects, bolt setting, or structural assemblies.

- Knowledge of local surveying codes, standards, and authority regulations.

- Valid Qatar Driving License or GCC equivalent (optional based on region).

- Proficiency in AutoCAD or surveying data transfer to CAD platforms.
