The Job Opportunity
Subject to contract award, Serco Saudi Arabia (SSA) will be acting as a managing agent that is responsible for a project that will act and serve as a luxurious tourist destination. SSA's role as a managing agent and master operator will be to manage the service operators of the following transport modes:

  • Air (Private Planes & Helicopter, etc.)
  • Sea (Marine fleet & water taxis, sea freight etc.)
  • Land - Road (cycle, cars, buggy, buses etc.)
  • Land- Logistics (vans, staff buses etc.)
Key accountabilities
To develop maintenance strategy based on asset performance Section.
Monitoring Life expectancy of assets for land fleets/transport modes and to develop strategy to achieve longer asset life.
Formulate maintenance policies that can be adopted for both old and new for land fleets/transport modes.
Assist the Land Operations Manager in supervising different overhaul tasks and monitor overall performance.
Monitor the failures trends in newly introduced land fleets/transport modes to ensure the conformance to Specifications and operational specifications.
Liaise with client and Service Operators of land fleets/transport modes for resolving design and chronic failures in land fleets/transport modes.
Give guidance to Service Operators of land fleets/transport modes on failure report, design improvements and proposals to meet the contract objectives.
Introduce maintenance strategies to improve life cycle costing and equipment performance, will also be responsible for monitoring the Service Operators of land fleets/transport modes' successful implementation across the fleet.
Undertake independent evaluation of Service Operators' routine tasks and new tasks to ensure safety and procedural compliance.
Manage Assets and ensure service operators deliver services in line with contract.
Responsible for resolving any issues that arise during day to day operations working from dedicated location.
To ensure a smooth 24/7 operation of land fleets/transport modes.
Outline "back of house operations" including servicing, maintenance, spares inventory, asset management strategies and the implications on the client and operators.
Produce evidence based research into Asset Management processes and systems.
Engage and maintain close working relationships within the client and team to optimize O&M best practices.
Development of overall asset management strategies.
Developing the processes that focus the organization on consistent budgeting and life cycle planning and sustainment.
Developing a Condition Assessment Process to perform periodic assessments/surveys on the asset condition.
Developing Asset Classifications, Asset Hierarchies, Criticality ratings and Naming Conventions for asset data.
Assisting the Client with 5-year portfolio planning or more.
To provide timely reports and updates to the Mobility Operating Director.
Provide strategic technical input as required.
Hold regular meetings to align the maintenance & Asset Management strategies..
Support, review and advice Service Operators on Serco maintenance activities
Specific Requirements
Minimum 10 years general experience.
Minimum 8 years of practical experience of working in a complex project management environment.
4 years of general management experience within the Transportation industry.
Good understanding of the transport modes such as micro mobility modes (e-bikes, bikes, e-buggies, e-scooters, etc.), land modes (large cars, executive cars, buses, vans, etc.),
Good Experience and understanding in the operations and maintenance of transport systems Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Demonstrable subject matter expertise (and where appropriate, accreditation) across multiple aspects of multi-modal mobility programmes (air, land, sea, logistics, etc.)
Well versed and equipped with knowledge in the transport sector across various mobility vehicles.
Knowledge of international asset management best practice.
Knowledge and experience in Fleet Management Procedure Definition and implementation.
