The Kitchen Steward plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. This position involves supporting the culinary team by ensuring that all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized, while also assisting with inventory management and general kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitation:
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using industrial dishwashing equipment.
Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept clean and organized, including floors, counters, and storage spaces.
Adhere to health and safety regulations regarding cleanliness and food safety.
Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials in accordance with regulations.
Assist in composting and other sustainability practices when applicable.
Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation as needed.
Help with stocking and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Ensure that kitchen equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance issues.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced kitchen environment.
May involve standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,700.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
