Job Description
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work areas, including tanks, filter beds, and surrounding grounds. Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving materials, equipment, and sludge. Assist with routine inspections, minor repairs, and maintenance of plant equipment such as pumps, valves, and filters, often using basic hand and power tools. Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste materials and bio-solids, sometimes operating equipment like a filter press. Help collect water/effluent samples for testing and analysis to ensure compliance with quality standards, though the testing itself is typically done by operators or lab personnel. Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment and compliant operations. Provide general support to ETP operators and other plant staff as needed, which may include general labor tasks outside the ETP facility (e.g., on a farm or construction site). Maintain basic logs and records of work performed and report any irregularities or issues to supervisors.
