We are looking for a Lead/Supervisor at Microbiology to support the Laboratory Manager in managing staff members in validating and authorizing the test results obtained from sample analysis. Responsibilities:

Advanced knowledge in microbiology techniques, antimicrobial resistance, molecular testing, infectious diseases, and safety protocols. Expertise in quality assurance, ISO/UKAS standards, and LEAN methodologies. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills. Experience in supervising, training, and assessing laboratory staff, ensuring competency and adherence to safety guidelines. Proficient in developing, validating, and reviewing laboratory methods and SOPs. Ability to manage laboratory operations, maintain equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet goals. Skilled in writing scientific reports, publishing research, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Ability to lead projects, maintain quality standards, manage budgets, and ensure continuous improvement in laboratory services. Qualifications:

Education: PhD or MSc degree in Microbiology/Applied Microbiology/Biotechnology with experience in wastewater monitoring and surveillance or other relevant science discipline. Experience: Minimum of 8 years industrial/academic experience working in microbiology lab environment, ideally in water or wastewater analysis laboratory. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. Advanced working knowledge of Microbiology automated and manual techniques. #J-18808-Ljbffr
