: This position is responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to support the medical services provided by Medical Center.
Job Summary:
The incumbent goal is to perform laboratory tests, analyze results, and report findings to support medical diagnosis & treatment.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks
Perform routine and specialized tests on samples using established methods & techniques
Analyze test results, prepare reports, and communicate findings to supervisors or other team members
Ensure accurate documentation of results
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments & equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly
Monitor and maintain stock levels of laboratory supplies & reagents, notifying management when inventory levels are low
Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control procedures to ensure accurate results
Identify and troubleshoot issues related to testing procedures, equipment, or sample quality
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, regulations, and standards
Work closely with other lab personnel, researchers, or clinical staff to support research, diagnostics, or product development efforts
Communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to medical staff
& other stakeholders
Provide guidance and support to medical staff on laboratory-related matters
Assist in training new staff or interns on laboratory protocols, safety procedures, and equipment usage
Provide technical support and guidance to junior laboratory staff & other medical personnel
Stay updated on new laboratory technologies, techniques, and methodologies to improve laboratory operations & services

At least a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry or a related field
Minimum 5 years GCC experience in a laboratory setting preferably working in a medical center or hospital
Any relevant certification or training such as:
+ Lab Technologist license from the QCHP-MoPH (Mandatory)
+ Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (CMLT)
+ American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification
+ Occupational Health and Safety Certification (OHSC)
+ BLS
+ Valid lab technologist license (Mandatory - Qatari licensed)
