Job Summary

The School Laboratory Assistant supports the effective delivery of science education by preparing laboratory materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized laboratory environment. The role involves assisting teachers during practical lessons and ensuring compliance with school policies and UAE health and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Preparation & Support

Prepare laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials for science practical sessions. Assist science teachers during laboratory experiments and demonstrations. Ensure all experiments are set up according to lesson plans and safety guidelines. Safely collect, label, and store laboratory materials after use.
Laboratory Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the science laboratory and preparation rooms. Clean, sterilize, and properly store laboratory equipment and glassware. Conduct routine checks on laboratory equipment and report any defects or shortages.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to school health and safety regulations and laboratory safety procedures. Safely handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and waste materials as per approved guidelines. Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Support fire, chemical spill, and emergency response procedures.
Inventory & Record Keeping

Maintain accurate inventory records of laboratory chemicals, equipment, and consumables. Assist in ordering and receiving laboratory supplies as required. Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and laboratory logs.
Student Support & Supervision

Support students during practical activities under teacher supervision. Promote safe laboratory behavior among students at all times. Assist in supervising students during lab sessions when required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
