Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Lab Assistant

to support our Quality Control operations in a fragrance and perfume manufacturing setup. The ideal candidate will assist in the inspection, testing, documentation, and compliance processes related to raw materials, in-process checks, and finished goods, while ensuring adherence to GMP standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct physical inspection and routine testing of all incoming fragrance oils (appearance, color, odor, pH). Verify that raw materials meet product specifications and maintain batch-wise inspection records. Perform daily quality checks on perfume batches (clarity, odor match, pH, density). Prepare Daily Batch Analysis and Finished Goods Reports. Assist in both sensory and instrumental quality assessments. Monitor temperature, humidity, and cross-contamination risks in mixing and production rooms. Ensure timely calibration of lab instruments like pH meters, density meters, etc. Report equipment malfunctions or required servicing. Maintain all QC documentation including Incoming Reports and Retention Sample Records. Ensure retention samples are collected, labelled, and stored properly for future reference. Follow all GMP and safety protocols during operations. Support internal and external audit activities. Identify and report any raw material or batch deviations (wrong odor, pH, contamination, etc.). Assist QA in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective actions.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in perfume, cosmetics. Sound knowledge of chemistry and laboratory practices. Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or other quality standards. Strong observation and record-keeping skills. Good communication and teamwork. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
