: UAE National / Level 2 Lab and Certification Engineer
Position Overview: The Level 2 Lab and Certification Engineer is responsible for conducting various testing, certification processes, and technical evaluations in a laboratory environment. This role supports the development, validation, and verification of products to meet regulatory, industry, and company-specific standards. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all products meet quality and compliance requirements before market release.
Key Responsibilities: * Testing and Validation:

• Conduct comprehensive product testing according to established procedures and standards.
• Perform hardware and software tests, including functional, environmental, safety, and performance tests.
• Ensure that test results are accurate, reproducible, and well-documented.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during testing and collaborate with R&D, engineering, and other teams to resolve problems.
• Certification:

• Prepare and support products for certification according to relevant standards (e.g., CE, UL, FCC, RoHS, etc.).
• Coordinate with external testing and certification bodies to ensure compliance.
• Assist in the creation and review of certification documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements to ensure products are always in compliance.
• Lab Setup and Maintenance:

• Set up and maintain laboratory equipment and test benches.
• Calibrate instruments and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of lab equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Collaboration and Reporting:

• Work closely with design, development, and engineering teams to understand product specifications and test requirements.
• Provide technical feedback on product designs based on test results.
• Generate detailed reports documenting test procedures, outcomes, and analysis.
• Provide recommendations for improvements based on test results and compliance issues.
• Process Improvement:

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Identify opportunities to streamline testing and certification workflows.
• Help maintain testing protocols and document new test procedures or certifications as needed.
• Quality Assurance:

• Support the implementation of quality assurance procedures.
• Review product designs and development processes to identify potential issues before testing and certification.
• Ensure that products meet the required safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Technical Support:

• Provide technical assistance to other teams regarding test failures, compliance challenges, and product modifications.
• Act as a technical resource for certification-related inquiries.

• Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certification or specialized training in testing, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in lab testing, certification, or quality assurance in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience with certification processes (CE, UL, FCC, etc.).
• Experience working with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power analyzers, and environmental chambers.
• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in testing methodologies and standards (e.g., ISO, UL, FCC).
• Knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Software Skills:

• Familiarity with testing software and laboratory automation tools.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) for automation and scripting purposes is a plus.
