The Candidate
As Kitchen Technician, you will join a committed Engineering team, driven with the intent of delivering \xe2\x80\x98FIVE-star\xe2\x80\x99 experiences to an international diaspora in the heart of vibrant Dubai and Zurich.
The VIBE at FIVE is all about performing optimally while having the best professional experience of your life. You will be expected to have a passion for your role, disrupt norms all whilst having the best time of your life.

As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing guest solutions that break boundaries.
We are looking for a natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities, can focus on, and execute, tasks with a sharp eye for detail. An outgoing, people-friendly personality with an ability to think \xe2\x80\x98on your feet\xe2\x80\x99 during changing situations is also essential.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  Ensures all work follows safe work practices and procedures
  
• Responds immediately to all work requests which concern Health and Safety
  
• Ensures environmentally friendly practices are followed when handling chemicals and refrigerants
  
• Responds to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous manner
  
• Maintains and repairs all kitchen and laundry equipment and related appliances
  
• Ensures the optimum performance of all kitchen and laundry equipment by effectively
  
• Following the preventive maintenance and the shift readings programs
  
• Evaluates and appropriately responds to equipment usage and energy efficiency
  
• Completes all work orders with due diligence
  
• Maintains a daily log book highlighting problems and solutions; and activities
  
• Maintain all kitchen and laundry shop drawings
  
• Maintain equipment catalog and tagging directories
  
• Actively participates in the monthly departmental meeting by providing feedback and offering suggestions for improvement
  
• Completes tasks as assigned by Chief Engineer
  
• Maintains health and safety documentation and records for the assigned area
  
• Reports and documents potential safety hazards
  
• Participates as directed in the emergency response team

Requirements

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For

• 
  Good health, able to do heavy lifting and walk/stand for extended periods of time
  
• The ability to work independently with good interpersonal skill
  
• At least 2 to 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience preferably in the hospitality or hospital industry
  
• Proficient in appliance and refrigeration repair and maintenance plus basic knowledge of one other building operations skill set
