Job Description

  • Performs a variety of standard to moderately complex technical tasks related to operating, installing, maintaining and repairing all kitchen equipment (gas, electrical, and refrigeration).
  • Investigates problems and performs repairs on all kitchen equipment
  • Complete Performance Checks on kitchen equipment including refrigerators, ice machines, ovens, fryers, and beverage
  • Performs maintenance routines, preventive maintenance, and major repairs.
  • Troubleshooting and identifying problems with the machines,
Academic & Trades Qualifications Education Requirements
  • Code Inspection Courses Commercial Food Equipment Service Training on how major commercial kitchen appliances; ovens, grills, steamers operate.
Working Experience & Skills Profound knowledge of how various types of kitchens and refrigeration equipment work Outstanding soldering and blazing skills, applying oxygen/propane Strong ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, and to follow manuals on operation and installation to successful complete tasks Strong ability to apply various types of equipment safely and efficiently, and to maintain and service them Exceptional ability to work independently without direct supervision and take responsibility for the repair of assigned equipment Strong ability to prioritize assigned tasks for increased job delivery Exceptional ability to properly investigate problems with food equipment, discover the issue, and correct it Ability to work in a team setting with other maintenance workers, and also with staff and members of the public Job Type: Full-time Application Question(s):
