Kitchen Steward

Muweilah Sharjah

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils manually or using industrial dishwashers Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and surfaces regularly Properly dispose of garbage and kitchen waste; empty trash bins frequently Sort and separate recyclables and food waste according to kitchen policies Receive, unload, and store kitchen deliveries (e.g., groceries, cleaning materials) Refill soap, paper towels, sanitizers, and other kitchen hygiene supplies Assist in setting up and breaking down kitchen equipment before and after shifts Clean and maintain major appliances (grills, ovens, fryers) as instructed Ensure a steady supply of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware to the kitchen and service areas Report damaged equipment or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately Support chefs with basic kitchen prep if required (e.g., peeling vegetables) Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols (e.g., HACCP standards) Wear appropriate protective gear while working (aprons, gloves, shoes) Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen during and after service hours Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications

1 year experience in food service industry in UAE
