Job Description

A steward job involves maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in hospitality settings (restaurants, hotels, events) or on transport (ships, planes), while also providing excellent customer service, assisting guests with needs like seating and menus, restocking supplies, and supporting other staff, with duties varying from basic support to event management or even data governance. Key responsibilities include setting up/cleaning dining areas, managing supplies, ensuring health standards, assisting patrons, and sometimes handling administrative or crowd control tasks.

Core Responsibilities

Cleanliness & Sanitation: Keeping dining areas, kitchens, bars, and utensils spotless; upholding hygiene standards. Customer Service: Greeting guests, seating them, presenting menus, refilling drinks, and attending to requests Support & Logistics: Restocking food/beverage stations, assisting servers, managing supplies, and helping with event setup. Event/Crowd Management (Event Stewards): Directing guests, managing entry/exit, monitoring crowds, and ensuring safety.
