Cleaning and Sanitation:
Wash pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly using industrial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods.
Ensure all washed items are sanitized, dried, and stored correctly in their designated areas.
Clean and sanitize all kitchen work surfaces, sinks, countertops, and floors.
Assist in cleaning kitchen machinery (e.g., ovens, grills, fryers) and ventilation hoods as per the cleaning schedule.
Manage kitchen waste disposal and recycling according to hotel standards and environmental policies.
Inventory and Organization:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the stewarding area, pot wash, and storage areas.
Assist in the inventory control of cleaning supplies and chemicals, reporting any shortages to the Stewarding Supervisor.
Handle and store all kitchenware with care to minimize breakage and loss.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards and local Dubai Municipality health and safety regulations.
Follow the correct procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals.
Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to the Stewarding Supervisor.
Teamwork and Support:
Provide support to the culinary and service teams as required.
Assist with banquet plate-ups and breakdowns for large events and functions.
Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Kitchen Management.
Qualifications
High School or equivalent
