Job Description
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dishwashing area, and storage rooms. This role ensures proper sanitation, hygiene, and safe handling of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. The Kitchen Steward supports chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas according to hygiene and safety standards. Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper cleaning of dishes, glassware, pots, and pans. Collect, sort, and dispose of garbage and kitchen waste safely. Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and storage areas. Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies and equipment. Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Support chefs and kitchen staff in basic food preparation tasks when required. Follow company policies, food safety guidelines, and HACCP standards. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor immediately. Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and teamwork in the kitchen.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role preferred Basic knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards. Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Skills:
Time management and multitasking ability. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safe chemical handling. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
